Thanks to a cone construction developed specifically for the deep bass range
and an extremely powerful amplifier, the active Magnat Omega CS 12 subwoofer is
the perfect addition to any hi-fi or home theater system.
ALL ABOUT THE BASS
The specially hardened and coated material is made in a double cone arrangement
with an impressive diameter of 30 cm. The drive is provided by a 70 mm high
efficiency coil and a 170 mm ferrite magnet. Together with the glued and extra
stitched longthrow surround, the overall result is a subwoofer that has been
optimized using Klippel laser technology and can reproduce frequencies between
18 and 200 Hz optimally.
1100 WATTS BRUSH POWER
The built-in Class-D power amplifier delivers 525 watts in continuous operation
and up to 1100 watts maximum. The high-speed DSP also linearizes the frequency
response and allows continuous adjustment of crossover frequency, phase and
adjustable bass extension to 35 Hz. This means that there are all the
prerequisites for the harmonious integration of Omega CS 12 in a hi-fi or home
cinema system.
TIMELESS, COMPACT, STRONG
It could not be much more compact: Its designers have built an extremely sturdy
MDF casing that is almost larger than the 12-inch chassis. The closed
construction radiates sound to the front of the unit and thus minimizes room
interference. In its glossy black finish, the Omega CS 12 is discreet but
elegant at the same time, whether in a prominent position or discreetly in the
background.
Regardless of whether you have bookshelf speakers, floor standing or any other
solution for your home cinema – one or more active subwoofers like the CS 12
are always a welcome addition. They relieve the existing speakers of their bass
duties and let them reproduce the rest of the frequencies.
